It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Della Martinez, a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, who left this world peacefully on July 7, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on March 4, 1950, in the quaint town of Dolores, Colorado, Della was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout her 76 years of life. Della was the beloved daughter of Juanita Archibeque and Jose Medina, both of whom preceded her in death. Her spirit and legacy live on through her devoted husband of 56 years, Tony Martinez, whom she married on February 28, 1970. Together, they built a beautiful life and having three sons, including their cherished son, Antonio Martinez. Della is also survived by her loving brothers, Toby Medina and Roy Medina, and a host of affectionate nieces and nephews who will forever remember her as the heart of their family. Della spent her professional life nurturing young ones at Central Elementary in Bloomfield, NM. Her ability to foster a close-knit community of friends in her workplace were testaments to her generous spirit and compassionate nature. In her personal life, Della cherished moments spent with friends, whether gathering for a delightful lunch, enjoying a trip to the nail salon, or exercising together at the pool. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. A service to celebrate Della's remarkable life will be held on July 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, located at 307 N. Church St. The family warmly invites all who knew and loved Della to join them in honoring her memory. Following the service, a luncheon will be held where stories, laughter, and memories can be shared in her honor. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for your love and support. Della Martinez's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all those who were touched by her life.
