Born in the welcoming embrace of California on February 13, 1942, Della was the cherished daughter of John and Elise Ferrel. Her life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and family. Della led a life adorned with simple joys and profound love. Together with her beloved partner, she cultivated a loving and quiet life, nurturing a beautiful family who were the center of her world. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children and a vast extended family who treasured her unwavering dedication and warmth. A woman of simple pleasures, Della found great joy in fishing, often accompanied by her grandchildren. It was during these moments by tranquil waters where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and memories were created—memories that will be cherished by those she held most dear. Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable, and her heart swelled even more with the arrival of 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each a testament to the family bond she so lovingly nurtured. Della’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will forever endure in the hearts of those who knew her. A service to celebrate and honor the life of Della Ferrel will be held on April 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Rena’s Remembering, located at 3990 Warbler Drive, Antioch, CA 94509. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to share in the love that Della so generously bestowed upon all. While no formal memorial fund or donation organization has been established, Della’s family encourages those who wish to honor her memory to do so by cherishing and nurturing their own family bonds, just as she did.
