In Loving Memory

Delia Spencer
August 11, 1954 — October 15, 2026
Delia Spencer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warmth. Born on August 11, 1954, in Ohio to Clyde and Minnie Salyer, Delia brought joy and light to every life she touched. She was predeceased by her cherished parents, Clyde and Minnie, her brothers Louis Hatfield, Holmer Grey, and Bill Shriner, and her beloved daughter Lawanda Knight.
For over 51 years, Delia shared her life with her devoted husband, Clinton Spencer, whom she married on November 11, 1977. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising three wonderful children: Tracey Clemons, along with her significant other Derrick, and Roy Knight. Delia's nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren: Alyssa Collins and her significant other Shawn, Lindsey Collins and her significant other Bradley, Abigail Taylor and her significant other Elijah, Tabitha Blackmon and her significant other Drew, Nathan Knight and his significant other Stephanie, and Tyler Adams. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her ten great-grandchildren: Apollo, Lincoln, Rayleigh, Silas, Paisley, Dexter, Tanner, Julian, Benson, and Elina.
Delia was a treasured sister to Shanna Riddle, with whom she shared countless coffee moments and laughter, as well as to Kent Salyer. She was also a dear sister-in-law to Johnny Riddle. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Throughout her life, Delia was known for her quick wit and warm smile, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, and her kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Delia dedicated 14 years of her life to Edward’s Drive-In, where she served as the head of the kitchen. Her passion for cooking and her dedication to her work left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of working with her. Beyond her career, Delia found joy in simple pleasures: fishing trips with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law, movie nights, getting her nails done, playing solitaire, listening to country music, and searching for treasures at yard sales.
In her final years, Delia received compassionate care at Forrest Creek Village, for which her family is deeply grateful.
Delia’s life will be honored in a private ceremony, as her family and close friends gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of a woman who touched so many with her warmth, humor, and love. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
