DeCorian DaVon Murphy

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, DeCorian DaVon Murphy. Born on January 20, 2006, in Houston, Texas, DeCorian left this world on October 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will forever remain in our hearts. DeCorian was the cherished son of Donald and Melissa Murphy. He was a beloved brother to DeUntay, Donald Jr., DeQualin, and Doneshia Murphy, who will all hold his memory close as they navigate the days ahead without his physical presence. A proud graduate of Ridgepoint High School in May 2025, DeCorian's academic journey was marked by dedication and perseverance. Following his graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army, where he successfully completed both basic and AIT training. His commitment to service and his country was a testament to his character and courage. DeCorian was a beacon of light to all who knew him. Known for his quick wit and infectious smile, he had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated, especially the women in his life, and most fondly, his mother. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. DeCorian was a respectful and kind-hearted young man, whose legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff at Memorial Hermann Heights Hospital for their compassionate care during DeCorian's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice, as a way of honoring DeCorian's generous spirit. Though DeCorian's physical presence has left us, his spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of our lives. As his family, we take comfort in the love and memories we shared with him, and we honor his life by carrying his legacy forward.
