May 30, 1962 — November 16, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Debra Sue Williams (née Bennett), lovingly known as Debbie, who departed this life on November 16, 2025, at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. Debbie passed peacefully, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family, after enduring many years of health challenges and a courageous, albeit brief, battle with cancer. She was 63 years old. Born on May 30, 1962, in Long Beach, California, Debbie was the cherished daughter of Larry and Patsy Bennett. Her early years were filled with warmth and love, setting the foundation for a life devoted to family and friendship. In October of 1983, Debbie married the love of her life, Daniel Williams, in Spokane, Washington. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures for over 40 years until Daniel's passing. Their union was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Danielle Norby (Williams), who, along with her husband Jeremiah Norby, gifted Debbie with three adored grandchildren: Elizabeth, Emily, and Evan. Being a grandmother brought Debbie immense joy, and her grandbabies were the light of her life. A graduate of Farris High School in 1983, Debbie was known for her kind heart and generous spirit. She had a natural ability to put the needs of others before her own, a trait that endeared her to all who knew her. Debbie possessed a unique talent for staying connected with family, always knowing the latest family news and ensuring everyone felt included and loved. Her professional life was spent in the food industry, where she worked for nearly 30 years, from delis to owning her own café. Debbie's passion for food extended beyond her professional life as she delighted in trying new restaurants and sharing meals with her family. Debbie's love for the outdoors was a testament to her spirit. She found solace and joy in nature, whether camping under the stars or simply basking in the serenity of the natural world. These moments were shared often with her family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those she leaves behind. Debbie is survived by her devoted daughter Danielle, son-in-law Jeremiah, and her beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, and Evan. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Leslie Smith (Bennett), Michelle Diamond (Bennett), Mary King (Bennett), and Leslie Hehr (Bennett), and her brother Larry Bennett. Her extended family includes numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many in-laws who became like true siblings to her. Debbie joins her mother, Patsy Bennett, and her husband, Daniel Williams, in eternal peace. Though her departure leaves a void in our hearts, her memory will be cherished forever by those who knew her. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Debbie's life, in accordance with her family's wishes. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nurses and doctors at Providence Holy Family Hospital for their dedication and kindness during Debbie's final days. They also wish to express their deep appreciation for the overwhelming support and comfort received from family and friends during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Debbie's honor, celebrating her legacy of love and generosity. Rest in peace, dear Debbie. You were a beacon of love and kindness, and your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know you.
