Debra Pierpoint

June 5, 1958 — August 29, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Pierpoint, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, who left this world peacefully at home on August 29, 2026. Born on June 5, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, Debra was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. Debra was the cherished daughter of Nellie Evans and the late Virdle Evans. She was predeceased by her father, Virdle, and her dear brothers, Ronnie and Ricky Evans, whose memories she held close to her heart. As the third of four siblings, Debra shared a special bond with her sisters, Donna and Darla Evans, who were her lifelong friends and confidantes. On September 17, 1976, in Big Sandy, Tennessee, Debra married the love of her life, Lonnie Pierpoint. Their marriage of nearly five decades was a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising two exceptional daughters, Shanna Pierpoint and Shay Armstrong. Debra's love and guidance were unwavering, and she took great pride in her daughters' accomplishments and the families they built. Debra's heart was further filled with joy with the arrival of her grandchildren, Grey, Carter, and Adley Armstrong. She adored being a grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with them and watching them grow. Debra's life was a mosaic of kindness, strength, and compassion. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved, and she extended her generosity to friends, family, and those in need. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and resilience, and she leaves behind a family that will carry her spirit forward in their hearts and actions. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Debra's life and legacy. The family invites those who wish to honor Debra's memory to make a donation to a charity of their choice, in lieu of flowers. Though Debra Pierpoint has left this world, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who had the privilege to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
