Debra Kay Weaver, a cherished wife, beloved mother, and devoted grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026. Born on June 20, 1955, in the warm embrace of Gadsden, Alabama, Debra brought light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The daughter of Clemuel and Mary Harwood, Debra grew up with a strong sense of family values, surrounded by the love of her parents and siblings. Though preceded in death by her father Clemuel, mother Mary, brother Jeffrey, and sister Sandra, Debra's legacy of love and laughter remains strong in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A proud graduate of Hokes Bluff High School's Class of 1974, Debra met and married the love of her life, Charles Wayne Weaver, on November 18, 1976. Together, they shared 49 incredible years of marriage, building a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
As a dedicated stay-at-home mom, Debra's heart found its truest joy in nurturing and raising her children, Charles Wayne Weaver Jr. and William Colt Weaver. Her dedication and love extended further to her grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Weaver and Lyla Jade Weaver, and her great-grandson, Corbin Wayne Weaver. Debra's family was the cornerstone of her life, and her nurturing spirit enriched the lives of those she held dear.
Debra was known for her beautiful smile and infectious sense of humor, traits that endeared her to family and friends alike. Her love for her boys and grandchildren was unparalleled, and she took immense pride in her role as a mother and grandmother. Her genuine warmth and caring nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Debra's life was filled with vibrant activities that brought her immense joy. She had a passion for arts and crafts, and she cherished her time spent shopping and creating beautiful memories with her family. An adventurous spirit, she also found happiness in hunting and fishing, embracing the great outdoors with enthusiasm.
Debra is survived by her devoted husband, Charles, her loving children, Charles Jr. and William, and her adored grandchildren and great-grandson. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Rebecca Thornhill and Mike, Kelly Harwood, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close cousins who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
