In Loving Memory of Deborah Warren-Baxter
It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Deborah Warren-Baxter, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on November 18, 1955, in Washington, D.C., Deborah was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. She peacefully departed this world on August 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of beauty, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Deborah was the cherished daughter of Mardell and Eugene Warren, who predeceased her. She was a devoted sister to Cindy Walker, Sherri Johnson, Donna Warren, Rhonda Warren, Tonya Warren, and Eugene Warren, and a beloved sister-in-law to Fredda Baxter-Mahoganh and Toni Baxter-Dillard. Her nurturing spirit extended to her many nieces, nephews, great-aunts, uncles, and countless cousins who enriched her life with love and laughter.
In 1991, Deborah married the love of her life, Buck Baxter, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, and together, they raised three wonderful children: Tarsha Warren, Duran Baxter (Lillian Baxter), and Steven Baxter (Stephanie Baxter). Deborah's heart expanded with the arrival of her seven grandchildren, Jaylen Williams, Duran Baxter, Prince Ameen Baxter, and Keyara Dymone Mason, and two great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
A graduate of Palmer Park High School in 1974, Deborah went on to pursue her passion for beauty at cosmetology school. Her career as a stylist was marked by creativity, skill, and an entrepreneurial spirit that inspired everyone around her. She had a remarkable talent for fashion, often designing her own clothes and participating in fashion shows. Her ability to bring beauty and style into the lives of those she touched was truly a gift.
Known for her wonderful sense of humor and direct honesty, Deborah brought her family together with love and warmth. She believed in the power of family gatherings, whether for holidays, reunions, or simple get-togethers, and she treasured the memories created during these times. Her dedication to family will be remembered and cherished for generations to come.
Deborah’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported them during this time. The love, encouragement, and kindness shown by extended family and friends have been a source of strength and comfort.
