Deborah Blake, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on June 6, 2026, at the age of 70. Deborah was born on July 23, 1955, in the charming town of Paris, Tennessee, to the late Daniel Jeffrey and Leola Pruitt Vaughn. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and devotion to family.
Deborah's journey began in the heart of Tennessee, where she grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and the values instilled by her loving parents. She graduated from Henry County High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed her deep appreciation for community and connection.
Her professional life echoed her personal values, as Deborah worked diligently at the family bakery in Union City, Tennessee. Her passion for baking was more than a job; it was a way she expressed her love and creativity, delighting countless customers with her culinary talents. In later years, Deborah found joy and purpose as a daycare worker, nurturing and guiding young hearts with patience and kindness.
Deborah was a woman of faith, a devoted member of the Baptist community, finding strength and solace in her beliefs. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, providing comfort in times of challenge and joy in times of celebration.
Her family was the cornerstone of her life. She was a loving wife to the late Bro. Dennis Blake, whom she now joins in eternal rest. Together, they created a family filled with love and laughter. Deborah is survived by her son, Dennis M. Blake and his wife Joanna, and her daughter, Amanda Knight and her husband Matt. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Knight, Blake Knight, Joshua Knight, and Briana Carrillo, and her beloved great-grandson, Gideon Knight. Her stepbrothers, David Jeffrey and his wife Kim, and John Daniel Jeffrey and his wife Nicole, also survive her, sharing in the memories of a life well-lived.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dennis, and her stepsister, Lisa Sowell. Their memories remain etched in her heart, and they are now reunited in eternal peace.
Family gatherings were a source of immense joy for Deborah, who delighted in spending time with her loved ones, whether baking together or enjoying a refreshing swim in the pool. Her laughter, warmth, and generosity were the threads that wove the fabric of her family, creating bonds that will endure for generations.
