It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Bryant Jones-Stewart, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Born on November 20, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Deborah's life was a testament to love, faith, and resilience.
Deborah was predeceased by her cherished son, James Jones, her devoted mother, Dorothy, her loving father, Bryant, and her dear sister, Stephanie. She is survived by a beautiful family who will continue to honor her legacy: her son, Terrance Jones, and her daughter, Stacey Jones. They will forever carry her love, strength, and memories in their hearts.
Her love extended through her grandchildren, James Jr., Jasmine, Ah'layjah, Terrance Jr., and Ah'myria, each of whom held a very special place in her heart. Her joy multiplied with the presence of her great-grandchildren, Amorrie, Aaliyah, Prince, Aiden, Alijah, Blessing, Ky'Amir, Aniya, and many more great-grands. To them, she was more than a grandmother and great-grandmother—she was a source of love, comfort, and wisdom, a connection that can never be replaced.
Deborah's family was her greatest treasure, and she was deeply loved and admired in return. Though her physical presence will be greatly missed, the love Deborah poured into her family will continue to inspire and guide them for generations to come. Her voice may become a memory, and her embrace something they will long to feel again, but the love she gave them will never leave. Deborah's legacy is her family—and through each of them, a beautiful part of her will live on forever.
Deborah valued education and personal growth. She proudly attended Louisiana State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology—a reflection of her intelligence, determination, and desire to uplift others.
A devoted and active Jehovah’s Witness, Deborah's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She held firmly to the Bible’s promise of the resurrection and looked forward with hope to the day when death would be no more. Her faith gave her strength and comfort, and she carried that hope in her heart until the very end.
Those who loved Deborah find solace in the hope she cherished so deeply—the promise that death is not the end and that loved ones can be reunited once more. Her family will continue to embrace the love she gave, the faith she lived by, and the hope she held for everlasting life.
A service to honor Deborah's life will be held on August 15, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Deborah's memory.
