Deborah Ann Bardge

January 1, 1955 — March 4, 2026

In the gentle embrace of dawn on March 4, 2026, Deborah Ann Bardge, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world at the age of 71. Born on January 1, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, Deborah was the cherished daughter of the late K.D. and Marie Bardge. Her journey through life was marked by an unwavering love for family, a nurturing spirit, and an innate ability to bring joy to those around her. Deborah grew up in the vibrant community of Jacksonville, where she attended the local schools of Duval County. She graduated from Technical High School in 1973, laying the foundation for a life devoted to caring for others. Her nurturing nature was evident in every aspect of her life, as she continuously sought to uplift those around her with compassion and understanding. Deborah's love for cooking was central to her identity. Her kitchen was a haven where the warmth of her heart was translated into delicious meals shared with family and friends. She had an extraordinary talent for creating dishes that nourished both body and soul, and her home became a gathering place filled with laughter and love. Holidays and birthdays were especially dear to her, as she delighted in hosting parties that brought joy to everyone in attendance. Though her parents and her brother, King David Bardge, predeceased her, Deborah's legacy of love continues to flourish through her surviving family. She is deeply missed by her daughter, Taneshia Smith, and her god-given children, Kenneth Bardge, Antron King, La'Quanda McPherson, Saudia Bardge, and Kevin Bardge. Her grandchildren, Kamirya Prince, Thomas Harris, Jr., MaKenzie Hawkins, Skyelar Redding, and Kali Smiley, along with great-grandchildren Quadir Forbes and Major Jackson, will forever cherish the memories they created with their beloved grandmother. Deborah is also survived by her siblings, Susie Harrell-Thompson and Kenneth Bardge, who shared in her life's journey and celebrated her many accomplishments. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends are left to remember her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering dedication to those she loved. In Deborah's memory, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing her family and closest friends to celebrate her life in a personal and meaningful way. Though the ceremony is private, the impact of Deborah's life is anything but; her legacy of love and compassion continues to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. As we say goodbye to our dear Deborah, we are comforted by the knowledge that her spirit lives on in the lives she touched. Her love remains a guiding light, illuminating our paths with the warmth and kindness that defined her every day. May she rest in peace, forever loved and never forgotten.
