With heavy hearts and profound respect, we celebrate the life of Debby Long, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away on August 21, 2026. Born on July 22, 1965, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Debby was the cherished daughter of Maria and Thomas Long. Debby's journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family and her community. A loving and devoted stay-at-home mother, she dedicated her life to nurturing her children, Danny, EJ, and Maranda, as well as her cherished 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary of love and warmth, where laughter and kindness reigned supreme. Debby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry, with whom she shared 10 beautiful years of marriage. She also joins her dear brother-in-law, Tommy, her great-niece, Dawn, and her great-grand-niece, Heaven, in eternal rest. Her life was a testament to her strength and resilience, as she faced life's challenges with courage and grace. Known for her loving and kind soul, Debby consistently put her family's needs before her own, even during her darkest moments. She was a beacon of love and support, fighting bravely until God called her home. A faithful and active member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church, Debby found solace and community within its walls. Her life was enriched by the relationships she cultivated and the faith she held dear. Debby found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in spending time with her grandchildren at the park and walking her dogs, delighting neighbors with their presence. Her vibrant spirit and gentle nature left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Debby's remarkable life and enduring legacy. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to all who offered their support and love during Debby's final treatments. Your presence and encouragement meant the world to her and to us all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Debby's memory. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will forever remain in our hearts.
