Debbie was the cherished daughter of the late Donald and Miriam Grady and was predeceased by her dear partner, Peggy. Together, Debbie and Peggy built a life filled with love and warmth in Costa Mesa, California, surrounded by their beloved animals—Sadie, Rocky, Wolfie, Boris the Tortoise, and many turtles and fish.
A proud veteran, Debbie served commendably in the United States Army with the 2nd Platoon at Fort Ord, California. Her service was a reflection of her dedication and commitment to her country.
Debbie was a devoted mother to Cassidy Grady and Ryan Grady, and a loving sister to Donna Grady-Juergens and Dori Grady-Bishop. Her family meant everything to her, and she took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Morgan Scott, Paige Scott-Brenneck, Gunnar Scott, Sierra Smith, and Kinsley Grady. Her legacy continues through her nine great-grandchildren: Maison, Taylah, Paizley, Khysen, Laken, Rixon, Waylon, Tulip, and Jaidyn.
Debbie was an avid baseball fan, always cheering for the Dodgers and reminiscing about taking her children to see minor league games. Her passion for sports extended to golf, where she excelled and received numerous awards. Debbie also shared a joyful tradition of playing the lottery with her grandson, Gunnar, always hopeful for that elusive winning ticket.
As an active member of the Resurrection Beach Congregation, Debbie was embraced by a community that provided her with hope, courage, love, and peace. Her involvement with the congregation was a source of strength and companionship throughout her life.
Debbie will be fondly remembered for her stories, laughter, and the invaluable advice she imparted to those around her. Her kindness and love left an indelible mark on everyone she met, offering unwavering support and encouragement.
