It is with great sorrow and heartfelt gratitude that we announce the passing of Debbie Bridges Dodrill, a beloved mother, wife, daughter, and friend. Born on February 2, 1960, in Cumberland, Maryland, Debbie departed this world on June 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Debbie was a devoted mother to her three sons: Robert Bridges, Jason Dodrill, and Kevin Bridges. Her life was a testament to the love she held for them, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. Her unwavering support and nurturing spirit were a constant source of strength for her family. Debbie's love extended beyond her family to her cherished pets, including her dogs Reo and DD, and her cat Boo Boo, who brought her endless joy.
In 2002, Debbie married Robert Dodrill, who became her devoted life partner. Together they shared a beautiful journey, marked by love, laughter, and the raising of their three wonderful sons. Their union was a testament to the power of love and companionship, and they lived each day with gratitude and joy.
A graduate of Fort Hill High School, Debbie worked for 37 years at Berderlack Corp in Cumberland, Maryland, where her dedication and work ethic left an indelible mark. Her colleagues remember her as a person of integrity and kindness, always ready with a smile and a helping hand.
Debbie was an active member of the Assembly of God Church, where her faith was a source of comfort and inspiration. Her commitment to her community and her faith were evident in her actions and her service to others.
She had a passion for the outdoors, finding peace and happiness in activities such as hiking, fishing, and camping. Debbie also enjoyed cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and watching NFL games, a pastime she cherished.
Debbie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Dodrill, and is survived by her sons, Robert, Jason, and Kevin, as well as her mother, Edith Bridges. She also leaves behind two adored grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Debbie's memory to the American Heart Association, an organization she held dear.
The family extends a heartfelt message: "Mom, we love you dearly." Debbie's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her memory will be treasured forever.
