Deanna Schulz

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Deanna Schulz, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, on July 27, 2026, at her home. Born on January 8, 1949, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, Deanna was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout her 77 years of life. The daughter of John Dean and Beverly Vanwinkle, Deanna was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Kay Frrodsham and Connie Allen. She also faced the heartbreaking losses of her daughter, Samantha Morales, and son-in-law, Erick Trent, whom she cherished dearly. Deanna's life was beautifully intertwined with that of her devoted husband, Duane, with whom she shared 57 precious years. Their love story began through a mutual friend and blossomed despite initial hesitations. Deanna's persistence in staying connected with Duane through letters while he served in Vietnam led to their marriage in the Lutheran Church in Roy, Utah, on a memorable October day. Deanna's intelligence and talent shone through in all she pursued. An incredible baker, she was awarded a Betty Crocker Scholarship and had an impressive ability to calculate numbers with remarkable speed. Her career with the IRS spanned several years, but her true joy came after retirement. Deanna relished her time traveling with Duane, enjoying girls' weekends with her daughter, and participating in weekly Bingo and card games with friends. Deanna was an active member of Sandy Good Shepard Lutheran Church, where she shared her light and generosity. Her quick wit and warm smile endeared her to all who knew her, and she was a constant source of support and kindness in her community. Her greatest pride and joy were her children, Jodi Lynn Trent, Duane Corey Schulz and Samantha Kay Morales and her twelve Grandchildren: Skyler, Talon, Cassie, Paul, Landen, Braiden, Cassie, Skylar, Harper, Collin, Kyle and Calbe. She was blessed with three Great-Grandchildren, Royce, Declyn, and Lainey Trent, who brought her immense happiness. The family invites all who wish to celebrate Deanna's life to join them for a memorial service on August 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Sandy Good Shepard Lutheran Church. Deanna Schulz's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
