Deanna Agnes Klockow
April 12, 1943 — September 2, 2026
Deanna Agnes Klockow, affectionately known as Dee, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 12, 1943, in Pontiac, Michigan, Dee lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and passions.
The beloved daughter of the late John Begovich and Margaret Kimmel Begovich, Dee was predeceased by her parents, her sister Margaret Begovich, and her daughter-in-law Cathy Klockow. She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend of 62 years, John Klockow, her sons John Klockow, Jr. and Michael Klockow, and her cherished grandchild, Viola Klockow. Dee is also survived by her brother John Begovich and his wife Karla, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and a tapestry of close friends from her days in the Pontiac High School Band to her golfing companions and friends in Michigan and Florida.
Dee's journey began in Pontiac, where she graduated from Pontiac High School, proudly playing in its award-winning band. She furthered her education at Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education. Dee went on to inspire young minds as an elementary teacher in the Warren Woods School District. Later, she ventured into entrepreneurship, owning a successful wallpaper, blind, and design business, leaving her artistic touch in many homes.
An avid golfer, Dee was celebrated for achieving the elusive hole-in-one and was rightfully inducted into the Michigan Woman's Golf Hall of Fame. Her love for the game was only matched by her love for her family, art, board games, and live music. Those who knew her will remember her quick wit, friendly and outgoing personality, and her unwavering willingness to help anyone in need.
A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a future date. Friends wishing to attend can reach out to Michael Klockow at (248) 390-3564 for further information. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Institute For Cancer Research in Dee's memory.
