With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of our beloved De’Andre Jacob Thomas, who left us far too soon on March 26, 2026, at the age of 20. Born on February 3, 2006, in Maryland, De’Andre was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew him. His journey, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and a profound sense of care for those around him. De’Andre was the cherished son of Karen Thomas and Dumba Kufuna, who nurtured him with love and instilled in him the values of kindness and perseverance. He was a devoted brother to his sisters, Kyla and Kalise Thomas, and a beloved family member to Jason and Kaylee Thomas. The memory of his warmth and his spirit will forever linger in their hearts. Though his life was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident, De’Andre's legacy is one of resilience and dedication. He faced many challenges on his journey to adulthood but triumphed as he graduated from high school. With determination, he embarked on a career as a plumber, successfully completing an apprenticeship and recently receiving a well-deserved promotion. His hard work and ambition were further demonstrated through the business he co-owned with his best friend, Jason, a venture that brought them both pride and joy. De’Andre's life was enriched by the loving companionship of his girlfriend and their precious baby, Nova. He cherished every moment spent with them, finding joy in simple pleasures and the beauty of family life. His love extended beyond his immediate family; he was a dedicated friend, always ready with a big smile and a kind word, ensuring that those he cared for felt valued and supported. His best friend Jason, along with their dogs Ice and Nova, were frequent companions on his adventures to the dog park, where laughter and camaraderie filled the air. De’Andre had an extraordinary ability to connect with others, always checking in on his loved ones, ensuring his mother and sisters were well, and spreading positivity wherever he went. His vibrant spirit and compassionate heart were a beacon of light to those fortunate enough to know him. Preceded in death by his grandfather and his dear cousin CJ, whom he loved deeply, De’Andre now joins them in eternal peace. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration for all. As we gather to celebrate De’Andre's life, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and honor his legacy by embracing the values he held dear: love, kindness, and the unwavering support of those we hold close. Rest in peace, De’Andre. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
