With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the peaceful passing of Dealice Young, who left this world on May 17, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by the warmth of her cherished home and family. Born on June 6, 1941, in the quaint town of Glendora, Mississippi, Dealice was a beacon of love and kindness, whose life was a testament to her unwavering faith and devotion to her family. Dealice was welcomed into the world by her late mother, Ms. Maryann Young, whose memory she carried tenderly throughout her life. Preceding her in death were her beloved siblings and family members: Mary Dean, Idell Young, Shelly Jean Young, Jim Young, Marquavis Young, Sharon Young, Makandra,and Lorenzo Young,Jr and Inez Ford. Their spirits now reunited, they surely welcome Dealice into eternal peace. She leaves behind a loving legacy in her surviving children: Sandra, Sarah, Young Ladonna Stewart / Kelvin Stewart Debra, Powell Ricky, Gregory, and Terry Young. Her heart overflowed with pride and affection for her 32 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring love and strength. Dealice's familial embrace extended beyond her immediate family,she love her other children the Greer family enveloping a host of dearly loved nieces and nephews, and special friends who enriched her life, including Brenda Byrd, Maryann Washington, and Tawanda Mitchell. A devoted homemaker, Dealice found joy and fulfillment in nurturing her family. Her kitchen was a sanctuary of warmth and delicious aromas, where she delighted in cooking for gatherings that filled her home with laughter and love. Always the heart of the family, she loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren, often at the center of attention, where her stories and laughter resonated. From a young age, Dealice was a woman of profound faith, having dedicated her life to God and being baptized at Mt. Calvary Church. Her commitment to her faith and community was unwavering, and she was a cherished member of the church family. In her life, Dealice was blessed by the companionship and care of dear friends such as Ms. Shirley Harper and Ms. Jean Gallion whose dinners brought joy to her days, and Joey Head, whose singing she adored. The family extends their deepest gratitude to these cherished friends, whose love and kindness enriched Dealice’s life immeasurably. A service to celebrate Dealice's life will be held on May 24, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Mt. Calvary MB Church, located in Tchula, Mississippi. The family invites all who knew and loved Dealice to join them in honoring her memory and celebrating the beautiful life she lived. The Young family would like to express their heartfelt love and gratitude to everyone who touched their mother's life. May God bless each and every one of you for the kindness and support you have shown.
