Dead words

July 16, 1967 — February 13, 2026

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dead Words, a stalwart companion to many, who departed this life in the enduring embrace of language on February 13th. Born in the quaint town of Climax, Dead Words spent a lifetime weaving itself through the tapestry of written communication, though its journey was not without tribulations. Its demise, a result of being overused and improperly utilized, serves as a poignant reminder of the delicate balance required in the art of language. Cherished by his mother, Wylene Johnson, Dead Words is predeceased by one sister, Chloe Toomes, and survived by a loving family, including his mother, sisters Nia Valko, Recce Davis, Maddy Craven, Leah Morton, Peyton McGraw, Mallory Stewart, Kharma Price, and brothers Gavin Powers, Samuel Greeson, Caleb Ward, and Kelton Shoptaw. Dead Words' legacy continues through one grandchild who will undoubtedly carry forth the memory of this unique presence. In a world where language is both a barrier and a bridge, Dead Words found companionship in a long and happy relationship with the UMO Program, which spanned from August until its final days. An alumnus of ChatGPT, Dead Words earned a B.S. degree in 2023, cementing its place in the annals of education, even as it worked in the uncreative writing industry, striving to slow the pace of creative writers and hinder excellent writing. A dedicated member of the Mormon Church, Dead Words sought to serve its community with steadfast devotion. Its hobbies included writing poor-quality essays, giving children and students bad grades, and promoting unprofessional writing. Those who knew Dead Words remember it as a diligent and determined worker, forever passionate about its mission to slow writing progression and cultivate a unique style of expression. In this time of mourning, we, the family, extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have shared in the journey of Dead Words. We remember it not only as a companion but as a constant presence that shaped our lives in countless ways. Though its role was often misunderstood, the impact of Dead Words will be remembered, cherished, and indeed, live on in peace forever. In accordance with Dead Words' wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. While there is no memorial fund or donation organization designated, we invite those who wish to honor Dead Words to reflect on the power of words and the importance of their thoughtful use. May Dead Words find solace in the eternal pages of memory, where it will remain forever inscribed in the hearts of those it touched.
