It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawn Yvette Thomas-Livingston, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Dawn left this world peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on November 13, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dawn's life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication. Dawn was the cherished daughter of the late JoAnn Thomas, and she is now reunited with her mother and her brother Darell Thomas in eternal peace. She leaves behind a devoted family who will forever hold her memory dear. She is survived by her loving husband, Julius Livingston, and her two treasured sons, Brandon and Maurice Thomas. Her light and love continue to shine through her granddaughter, Kailyn, who brought immense joy to her life. Dawn's brother, Derek Thomas, and her beloved Aunt Evelyn Craig and Uncle John Thomas, along with her nieces Chereda and Leah, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends, will all miss her dearly. Dawn was a proud graduate of Strawberry Mansion High School, where she began forming lifelong friendships that she cherished deeply. She dedicated her professional career to the home health care industry, where her nurturing spirit and compassionate care touched the lives of many. Her commitment to helping others was a hallmark of her character, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and empathy. Outside of her work, Dawn found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved vacationing with her family, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Shopping trips with loved ones and evenings spent watching reality television were among her favorite pastimes, bringing smiles and laughter to those around her. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Dawn's life and honor her memory at a service to be held on September 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Francis Funeral Home, located at 5201 Whitby Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19143. It will be a time to reflect on the beautiful life Dawn lived and the profound impact she had on everyone who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. This gesture will honor Dawn's generous spirit and her commitment to making the world a better place.
