Dawn was the cherished daughter of Paul Albert Jette and Rita Christina (Peckham) Jette, who survive her and currently reside in Florida. She was the adored sister of Paul Jette, Jr. of Florida and Christina (Jette) Harvey of Alabama. Dawn's legacy of warmth and kindness lives on through her nephews, Andrew, Matthew, and Joshua, all residing in Alabama, and her niece, Kierra Jette of Georgia. She also leaves behind uncles Wallace Walter Peckham of Rhode Island and Timothy Edward Peckham of Wisconsin, aunts Ann Peckham and Darlene Peckham, and countless cousins who remember her fondly.

She also mourned the loss of her uncles Frank Herbert Peckham, Ralph Wilson Peckham, Raymond Griffin Peckham, her aunt Carol Ann (Peckham) Ryan, and her dear niece, Sarah Elizabeth Krieger, who passed away at the tender age of seven.
Dawn was a proud graduate of Essex High School in Essex, Iowa, Class of 1988. Her journey in life was marked by her steadfast faith as a born-again Christian, and she was a devout follower of Jesus Christ. Known for her magnetic personality, Dawn had a remarkable ability to bring sunshine into the lives of those around her. She found joy in creating beauty through knitting, crocheting, and various crafts. Her creations were not just crafts but expressions of her love and warmth.
As Dawn faced her journey with cancer, she remained unwavering in her faith and resilient in spirit. She bravely prepared for her transition, looking forward to meeting her Savior, Jesus. Her strength and courage in the face of adversity were a testament to her character and faith.
