June 13, 2001 — May 4, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Davon Horton, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left this world far too soon on May 4, 2026, at the tender age of 24. Born on June 13, 2001, in High Point, North Carolina, Davon was a beacon of light and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His life, though brief, was a testament to the power of laughter, love, and living each moment to the fullest. Davon was the cherished son of Bryan and Angela Horton, who nurtured and supported him in all his endeavors. From a young age, Davon exhibited an energetic spirit that was contagious to all who crossed his path. Known for his remarkable ability to make people laugh and smile, he had an innate gift for brightening even the darkest of days. Davon was a devoted father to his young son, Davon Horton Jr., who was the light of his life. He embodied the essence of fatherhood, sharing his love for adventure and the great outdoors with his son. Whether they were casting a fishing line into serene waters or embarking on new travels, Davon's passion for life was evident in the twinkle of his eyes and the warmth of his smile. Family was the cornerstone of Davon’s world. Alongside his parents, Bryan and Angela, Davon is survived by his beloved sisters, Natalie Hopkins and Shamika Hopkins, who were not only his siblings but also his lifelong companions and confidantes. Their bond was a testament to the strength of family ties, rooted deeply in love and shared memories. Davon's hobbies were a reflection of his zest for life. He found peace and joy in fishing, appreciating the simple beauty of nature and the tranquility it offered. Traveling was another of his great passions, and he embraced every journey as an opportunity to explore new horizons and create lasting memories. A celebration of Davon's life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Solid Rock Baptist Church, located at 903 East Kearns Avenue, High Point, North Carolina. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Davon are invited to join in honoring his memory and celebrating the remarkable person he was. The family of Davon Horton wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern, and kindness shown to us during this hour of bereavement. Your support has been a source of comfort and strength. May God bless and keep you all. As we reflect on Davon's life, let us remember the joy he brought to our hearts, the laughter he shared so freely, and the love that will forever remain in our memories. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace, dear Davon. You will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
