January 6, 1994 — June 4, 2026

It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Davis Hamilton, a cherished son, devoted brother, and beloved friend, who left us unexpectedly but peacefully at home on June 4, 2026, after a brave battle with a medical diagnosis. Born on January 6, 1994, in Tampa, Florida, Davis was a beacon of light and strength for all who knew him—a light that will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Davis was the beloved son of the late David Hamilton and Kelly Smith, and the treasured nephew and adopted son of Dana Hamilton, who nurtured him with boundless love and care. He was predeceased by his dear parents and his maternal grandparents, Bertha and Jerald Smith, who welcomed him with open arms into eternity. Davis is survived by his devoted Aunt and Adopted Mother, Dana Hamilton, who has embraced the responsibility of raising Chris and Cameron, carrying forward Davis’s legacy with grace and unwavering dedication. His memory will also be cherished by his brother, Shawn Brooks, who shared countless moments of laughter and camaraderie, and his treasured cousins: Timothy, Frank, Kierra, Brittany, Sammy, Taylor, Laurel, Jake, and Von. Davis’s extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him will forever hold him close in their hearts. A proud graduate of Blake High School in 2016, Davis was a man of ambition and dreams. He had hoped to complete a welding course to embark on a new career, but instead found fulfillment and community in his role as a CDL Driver for Ace Hardware, where he devoted 11 years of hard work and dedication. Davis lived life with a zest and passion that was evident in his love for fishing, playing pool, and engaging in football at the local community recreation center, where he was a long-standing member. His infectious laughter, generous spirit, and unwavering positivity left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Though Davis has departed from this earthly realm, his spirit remains vibrant and enduring. His legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey. His family finds solace in the belief that "Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near." A celebration of Davis’s life will be held on June 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Gudes Funeral Home, located at 4050 E Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and a soul deeply loved. In this time of mourning, we are reminded of the love, laughter, and spirit that Davis shared with us all. May his memory be a blessing and his soul rest in eternal peace.
