David Wayne withrow

August 7, 1963 — May 22, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Wayne Withrow, who departed this life on May 22, 2026. Born on August 7, 1963, in the scenic town of Nelsonville, Ohio, Wayne—as he was affectionately known—lived a life rich with love, adventure, and dedication to his family and community. Wayne passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Even in his final days, Wayne's spirit remained unbroken, a testament to his resilience and the love he had for those around him. The son of Harold David Withrow and Elanor Kaye Withrow, Wayne was deeply influenced by his family's values of hard work and integrity. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Annie Withrow, his son David Withrow, his father Harold, and his brother Phillip Withrow. They are all missed dearly and remembered fondly. Wayne leaves behind his cherished wife of 30 wonderful years, Robin. Their marriage, which began on March 17, 1996, was a journey filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Together, they raised four remarkable children: David (Mistie) Withrow, Wayne (Jenna) Hall, Steven (Amanda) Hall, and Vanessa Stumph. Wayne's legacy of love continues through his 15 grandchildren—Carson, Abri, Asher, Malea, Miranda, Shannon, Abby, Megan, Wayne, Aden, Alivia, Able, David, Sarah, and lil Robin, whom he lovingly referred to as "lil shit head," a nickname that speaks volumes of his playful nature. Wayne was also blessed with a great-grandchild, whose presence brought immense joy to his life. Wayne is survived by his devoted mother, Elanor Withrow, and his siblings Dean, Diane, Tommy, Roy, Betty, and Brian. He shared an unbreakable bond with his lifelong best friend, Tracy Albaugh, whose unwavering support was a source of strength throughout his life. Wayne also held a special place in his heart for his sister-in-law, Virgie Whiteman, with whom he enjoyed countless cherished moments. A man of the great outdoors, Wayne found solace and joy in nature. Whether he was casting a line in the water, trekking through the woods on a hunt, or foraging for mushrooms, the natural world was his sanctuary. These hobbies were not just pastimes, but passions that he eagerly shared with his family and friends. Wayne was the proud owner of Withrow Logging, a business that he poured his heart into. His work was not merely a profession but a calling that he pursued with zeal and dedication. He was admired for his tireless work ethic, and his efforts left an indelible mark on his community. As we bid farewell to Wayne, we remember him not only for his accomplishments but for the warmth, humor, and kindness he bestowed on everyone he met. His laughter, his stories, and his love will echo in our hearts forever. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held in a manner befitting the extraordinary man he was, with details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a cancer charity of your choice, honoring Wayne's brave fight. While we mourn the loss of Wayne, we also celebrate the incredible life he led and the love he shared. May his spirit continue to inspire us all.
