David Wayne Kronmuller, born November 11, 1956, in Chicago, IL, peacefully departed this life on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his home. David's journey was one of resilience, warmth, and creativity, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. Born to the late Icy Mae and Arthur Kronmueller, David was the cherished younger brother of Roy and Chet. From a young age, he exhibited a deep curiosity and an innate talent for working with his hands. This passion led him to a lifelong pursuit in woodworking and furniture crafting, where he turned raw materials into beautiful, functional art. His creations, which now grace the homes of many, are a testament to his skill and dedication. David was a devoted father to his son, Joshua David Kronmuller, who carries forward his father's legacy of kindness and integrity. The bond they shared was one of mutual respect and admiration, a true testament to David's role as a guiding light in his family. He was also the beloved grandfather to six grandchildren—Kameron, Kaylana, Kamilah, Keyanna, Kason, and Kameryanna—and a great-grandfather to Zion. In them, David found immense joy and pride, often sharing stories of their accomplishments and adventures with a smile that lit up the room. Though he faced the profound loss of his parents, brother Roy, and daughter Miko Rae, David's spirit remained unbroken, drawing strength from the love of his surviving family members and the cherished memories of those who went before him. David's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and craftsmanship. His gentle demeanor, quick wit, and generous heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is one of love and creativity, inspiring future generations to pursue their passions with the same dedication and joy that he did. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice, honoring David's generous and compassionate spirit.
