It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of David Trudeau on August 15, 2026. Born on November 2, 1968, in Torington, Connecticut, David was a cherished son of the late Aurthur Trudeau and Catherine Blass. His life was a testament to kindness, laughter, and the unyielding bonds of family. David was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He leaves behind a family who adored him: his ex-wife and long-time friend, Nicole Trudeau; his children, Christian Trudeau, David Trudeau Jr., Misty Luxilien, and Gary Trudeau; his brothers, Jason Trudeau and Aurthur Hubbard, and his sister, Darlene Walton. His legacy continues through his ten beloved grandchildren: Lia French, LJ Luxilien, Loyal Luxilien, Laylah Luxilien, Liliana Luxilien, Gracelyn Thomas, Allison Thomas, Stephyn West, Josalyn Ortiz, and Hazelynn Brown. He was a treasured uncle to Wesley Dew, Chad Dew, Jeffrey Buzz, Tom Buzz, Emily Buzzi, Sara Walton, and Sam Hubbard. David was a body shop specialist in the car industry, where his remarkable skills in painting and detailing cars earned him respect and admiration far and wide. Through his work, David formed many enduring friendships, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was an extraordinary artist, whose passion for painting was evident in his beautiful depictions of roses, ace of spades, beach scenes, and especially his renowned Jesus paintings. His art was not just a hobby but a profound expression of his soul, one that he shared joyfully with family and friends. David's vibrant personality and sense of humor were infectious, bringing joy to everyone around him. He was known for his warmth and ability to make friends with anyone, anywhere. He cherished spending time outdoors with his grandchildren and held a special bond with his daughter. Whether hanging out with his close friend Mike, doing photoshoots with his son-in-law Luckson, or working alongside his nephews, David found joy in every moment. Married to Nicole Trudeau on February 14, 2004, David and Nicole shared many years together and two wonderful children. Though they eventually parted ways, they remained close friends, united by their love for their children. David was predeceased by his parents, his in-laws Perry and Debra Barnes, his brothers-in-law James and Michael Weeks, his Uncle Tony, and several other dear family members. He is also survived by his stepfather, Peter Borelli, who played a significant role in his life. A service to celebrate David's life will be held on August 31, 2026, at Family Funeral And Cremation on Davis Highway. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring the remarkable life of a man who touched so many. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of David to a charity of your choice.
