His commitment to service was a testament to his selfless nature and his unwavering dedication to protecting the freedoms we hold dear. His brothers and sisters in arms will remember him as a loyal and compassionate friend, whose bravery will never be forgotten. Family was the cornerstone of David's life, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a devoted son to Danny Shepherd and a cherished sibling to his sisters, Madara and Carrie Shepherd. David shared a special bond with his cousins, Thomas and Hannah Hammontree, and countless others who had the privilege of calling him family. Though his mother, Becky Shepherd, and his dear relatives, Carrie Swann and Kenny Hodges, predeceased him, we take comfort in knowing that David is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
