October 19, 1969 — October 9, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of David Scott Castleberry, who left this world on October 9, 2026. David was born on October 19, 1969, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Glen and Marlyn Castleberry. His journey was one marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and faith. David spent his early years in Tulsa, where he graduated from Owasso High School in 1988. His career was diverse, reflecting his versatile skills and work ethic. He held positions with companies such as QuikTrip Corporation and Bama Foods, and he also thrived as an independent contractor. No matter the job, David's dedication and integrity shone through. For the past 10 years, David was a cherished member of the Abundant Rain Church community in Coweta, Oklahoma. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was deeply committed to serving others and spreading the message of love and hope. David's life was enriched by his love of sports, particularly his enthusiasm for the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Oklahoma "Sooners." His passion for sports was surpassed only by his love for his family. David shared 16 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Donna Jo, alongside whom he created a life filled with joy and cherished memories. He was a man whose larger-than-life laugh and engaging personality could light up any room. David treasured every moment spent with his family and friends, and he especially loved his dogs, who brought him immense joy. David is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Jo, and his cherished niece, Ashley Castleberry. He is predeceased by his parents, Glen and Marlyn, and his sister, Sonia. Though he is no longer with us, the love and warmth he shared with those around him will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. A celebration of David's life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Abundant Rain Church, located at 12425 S 273 E Ave, Coweta, OK. We invite all who knew and loved David to join us in honoring his life and legacy. Dinner will follow the service at the church. In honor of David, wear your favorite college team, NFL, or Minion attire. Shorts are welcome, too—and if you dare, wear orange as we gather to share memories, honor his life, and surround Donna Jo, his family, and friends with love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the GoFundMe organization in David's memory. His family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. David Scott Castleberry will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the joy and love he brought into our lives. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
