In Loving Memory

David Rodriguez
March 10, 1969 — May 5, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Rodriguez, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on May 5, 2026, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 10, 1969, in Brooklyn, NY, David lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those he cherished.
David was the beloved son of Jose and Maria Rodriguez, who predeceased him, along with his cherished wife, Diana. He is survived by his loving children, Beatriz and Christian, and his devoted stepchildren, Eddie, Quills, and Quinton. His legacy of love and kindness continues through his three adored grandchildren, Christian Jr, Olivia, and Louis, who brought immense joy to his life.
For 22 years, David dedicated his professional life to the Metropolitan Transit Authority, where he was known not only for his strong work ethic but also for his quick wit and kind heart. His colleagues and friends will remember him as a man of integrity who brought a sense of humor and warmth to every situation.
David was an artist at heart, with a passion for painting that allowed him to express himself beyond words. His canvases captured not only the beauty he saw in the world but also the depth of his spirit. Above all, he valued spending quality time with his family, sharing laughter and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Those who knew David will remember him as a beacon of love and compassion, always ready with a kind word or a listening ear. His ability to see the best in people and situations made him a cherished friend and confidant to many.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor David’s wishes and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to a cancer charity of your choice, in memory of David’s brave fight.
Though the world is a little dimmer without David’s presence, his spirit and love will continue to illuminate the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, dear David. You will forever be loved and missed.
