David Price August 8, 1959 - June 4, 2026 David Price, a man whose life was painted with vibrant colors of love, service, and laughter, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026. Born in the close-knit community of Adrian, Michigan, on August 8, 1959, Dave was the cherished son of Billy and Carol Price, both of whom predeceased him. Dave's early years were filled with music and adventure. A proud graduate of Adrian High School in 1977, he found joy in the concert and honors choir, which took him on a remarkable two-week journey performing across 17 different countries in Europe. His passion for the performing arts led him to Siena Heights University, where he met his first wife, Sherri Coon. They were married on June 28, 1980, and blessed with two beautiful children, Erin and John. In September of 1980, Dave answered a call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Air Force. His 20-year military career was marked by numerous accolades, including the Air Force Achievement Medal and multiple Outstanding Unit and Good Conduct awards. He was a proud participant in Operation New Dawn in 1993 at Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait. Dave's dedication to his fellow service members continued after his military retirement in 2000 as he served another 15 years with the Department of Defense. His involvement with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where he held roles from chaplain to commander, underscored his unwavering commitment to veteran advocacy. In 1991, Dave found the love of his life, Jill, whom he married and shared a deep, enduring love until her unexpected passing in December of 1998. His heart was forever touched by her memory, and he honored her in the way he lived his life—full of warmth, humor, and love for his family. Dave was a man whose laughter resonated through rooms and over the music at gatherings. His ability to connect with others was unparalleled; he could make anyone feel comfortable with his candid honesty and supportive friendship. His passions were as diverse as his life stories—from his love for Ford Mustangs and backyard BBQs to his unwavering dedication to improving veterans' benefits. Dave leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his daughter Erin (Brock) Sinclair, his son John (Janis) Price, his beloved sister Patty (Mike) Finn, and brother Bruce (Twila) Price. He was the proud grandfather of Ira and Ian Sinclair, and Alanna Price, as well as the cherished uncle to Rhiannon and Gareth Price. A celebration of Dave's life will be held on July 12, 2026, at 2:30 PM at the Blissfield United Methodist Church, located at 201 W Adrian St, Blissfield, MI 49228. In keeping with Dave's casual spirit, the family requests that attendees dress comfortably, without the need for formal attire. Dave's legacy is one of service, love, and laughter. He taught us that life should be lived with a full heart and an open mind, embracing joy and offering kindness to all who cross our paths. His family invites all who knew him to join in celebrating a life well-lived and to share in the memories of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many.
