Born on November 14, 1991, in Richmond, Indiana, David's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished moments, woven together with his deep connections to family and friends. David was the beloved son of the late Paul Michaels and Louise Michaels. He is predeceased by his father, Paul, and his grandmother, Louise Washington, with whom he shared a special bond. He is survived by his loving children, David Jr., age 6, and Ashley Michaels, age 8, who were the light of his life and his greatest pride. In addition, he leaves behind his devoted siblings: Paul and Paula Michaels, Tim Hubert, and Paulisha Hatcher, all of whom will forever hold him close in their hearts. David had a passion for the great outdoors, finding joy and solace in activities like hunting and fishing. He was also an enthusiastic barbecue host, always eager to gather friends and family around a grill, where laughter and stories flowed freely. To those who knew him, David was not only handsome but also a warm and gentle soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. His kindness, strength, and vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Despite his struggles with depression, David's courage and resilience were evident to those closest to him. His passing is a poignant reminder of the importance of reaching out and supporting one another through life's challenges. The family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate David's life, honoring the memories that remain dear to their hearts. In this time of mourning, the Michaels family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the Hamilton and Washington families for their unwavering support during this difficult journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in David's memory to a charity supporting mental health awareness and research.
