In Loving Memory of David Michael Yannuzzo
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Michael Yannuzzo, who left this world unexpectedly on May 24, 2026. Born on September 26, 1960, in Akron, Ohio, David lived a life rich in love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community.
David was the beloved son of the late Joseph Yannuzzo and Rosemary Zona. He grew up in a home filled with warmth and the values of hard work and integrity, which he carried throughout his life. David's career was marked by his steadfast commitment as a member of Local 17 Iron Workers, where he proudly served for many years before transitioning into a successful role as a sub-contractor. His colleagues remember him as a man of remarkable skill and unwavering work ethic.
Beyond his professional achievements, David's life was defined by his passions and the joy he found in simple pleasures. An active dart enthusiast, he was often found perfecting his aim and enjoying the camaraderie of friendly competition. David also cherished the freedom of the open road, spending countless hours riding his Harley with the wind in his hair and adventure in his heart. His talent for working on side projects was well-known, and he found immense satisfaction in creating and building with his hands.
David's greatest joy, however, was his family. He is survived by his cherished daughters, Ashley Yannuzzo (Brandon Edwards), Aston Yannuzzo, Haley Yannuzzo, and Gabrielle Yannuzzo, who were the lights of his life. As a grandfather, David took immense pride in his four grandchildren, Kylee Yannuzzo-Tomassetti, Paige Yannuzzo-Edwards, Brennen Yannuzzo-Edwards, and Mercedes Yannuzzo-Naylor. He was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Camilla Solis Hernandez, whose presence brought him immeasurable happiness.
His family extends to his dear sister, Alice Rice, his brother, Joseph Yannuzzo, and his nephew, Ricky Rice, all of whom held a special place in his heart. David's legacy of love and kindness will continue to thrive through them and the many lives he touched.
A service to celebrate David's life will be held on May 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Silva Hostetler, located at 1199 Wooster Road W., Barberton, OH 44203. Family, friends, and all those who knew him are warmly invited to join in honoring a remarkable man whose spirit and love will forever be cherished.
In this time of mourning, we find comfort in remembering the laughter, the stories, and the love that David shared with us all. May his soul rest in peace, and may we carry forward the lessons of kindness and joy he imparted to us during his time on this earth.
