David Lynn Scott

David Lynn Scott passed away peacefully in Lexington, TN. Born on May 21, 1962, in Huntingdon, TN. He is now reunited with his beloved mother, Brenda Jeffries Umstead, and his sister, Glenda Scott, who preceded him in death. David was the son of Lyndol Scott and the late Brenda Jeffries Umstead. Surviving family: his father, Lyndol; his beloved son, Christopher Greenway and wife Heather; and grandchildren, Nathan and Lucas. He is also survived by his siblings, Jeannie Arnold (Darryl) Lexington, Donna LeeAnne Joyner (Barry) Luray, and Tanya Scott Huntingdon, along with many nieces and nephews. A talented carpenter and laborer, David's craftsmanship was admired by many. His work reflected the dedication and care he put into every project. Beyond his work life, David's love for music, motorcycles, and hanging with his friends was ever-present, often sharing these passions with those close to him. A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of David on October 9th, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, at the Clarksburg Church of Christ in Clarksburg, TN. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather and celebrate the life David lived and the love he shared with those around him.
