David Lowell Woodring

David Lowell Woodring, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and son, passed away on August 5, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 27, 1962, in Sylvania, Ohio, David was the cherished son of Elizabeth and the late Lowell Woodring. David was a man whose life was defined by his love for his family and his passion for his interests. He was an avid fan of the New York Jets and Ohio State football, a passion that brought him immense joy and camaraderie with fellow fans. He also had a passion for heavy metal music, collecting albums from the past. His love for sports and music was only rivaled by the deep affection he held for his family, whom he treasured above all else. David is lovingly remembered by his children, Sam, and his wife Anne, and Ariel, who were the light of his life. He was a grandfather to Wren and Raelin, who brought him happiness and pride. David's loving and generous spirit also lives on in his siblings, Debbie Still and her husband David, and Jenny Enis and her husband Todd, as well as his dear mother, Elizabeth Rower Woodring. As well as a niece Brooke Wadsworth (Jon), and nephews Jordan Enis (Chelsey) and Todd Enis (Brittany) and 6 great nieces and nephews. David's memory will continue to be a source of strength and comfort to those who knew him. His family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and extends special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Ohio State University Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. A Celebration of Life for David will be held on August 29, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the American Legion, located at 5580 Centennial Rd, Sylvania, Ohio 43569. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in David's memory. David Lowell Woodring will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
