David was the cherished son of David Lee Sr. and Martha Hollis, who instilled in him values of kindness, resilience, and integrity. He proudly graduated from Slidell High School in 1987, where he began to develop his lifelong love for his community and the deep bonds that would endure throughout his life. David's warmth and generosity were most evident in the love he held for his family. He is survived by his devoted daughter, LaChandra Hollis, of Winnsboro, Louisiana, who he guided with wisdom and unwavering support. David was the proud grandfather of one grandchild, who brought immense joy and vitality into his life. He is also survived by his brother Ken Hollis, of Dallas, Texas, and his sister Michelle Hollis, of Houston, Texas, each of whom shared a special and inseparable bond with him. In recent years, David found profound happiness and companionship with his fiancé, Danielle Jones, of Orlando, Florida. Their engagement was a testament to the enduring power of love and friendship, and they looked forward to a promising future together. David's life will be celebrated with a service on May 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Honaker Funeral Home, located at 1751 Gause Blvd, Slidell, Louisiana, 70469. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the legacy of a man whose life was a testament to the virtues of loyalty, compassion, and love.
