It is with both sadness and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of David L. Larson, a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and grandfather. David left this world peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 72, following a brief illness. Born on February 26, 1954, in Joliet, Illinois, David was the cherished son of Jerry and Dolores Larson. David was a proud alumnus of Illinois State University, where he nurtured his love for learning and forged lifelong friendships. His career saw him dedicating many years to Southwestern Bell/AT&T, from which he retired with a reputation for hard work, integrity, and camaraderie. David's life was enriched by the love of his surviving family, including his beloved wife, Jill C. Larson, who shared many joyful years with him. He is also survived by his brother, Brian Larson of Colorado, and his niece, Sarah Larson of Florida, who will remember him fondly. His legacy continues through his two step-sons, Steven Ramsey and Phillip Ramsey of Texas, as well as his daughter-in-law, Jenny Ramsey, and his grandsons, Reece and Reid Ramsey, who filled his heart with pride and joy. David had a deep passion for golf, a love he shared with his father and brother. The memories of their time on the golf course together will forever be cherished by those who knew him best. Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, David's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends. Yet, his spirit lives on through the values he instilled in those around him and the many lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. David's family invites those who knew and loved him to celebrate his life and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor David's memory may consider a donation to a charity of their choice, as a reflection of his giving nature and his belief in helping others. David L.
