David Kaufman

David Kaufman, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep at The Palace on July 28, 2025. He was 81 years old. Born on April 26, 1944, in Newark, New Jersey, David was the beloved son of the late Henry and Betty Kaufman. He was also preceded in death by his dear sister, Arelene Kaufman. A devoted family man, David is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Kaufman, with whom he shared a life of partnership and love. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Shane and Scott Kaufman, who brought immense joy and pride to their lives. David's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Onan, Skylar, Siaya, and Jerell, who will forever hold fond memories of their grandfather's warmth and wisdom. David's professional life was marked by his dedication and compassion as a psychologist. Alongside his wife Patricia, he spent his career offering guidance and support to countless individuals, always striving to make a difference in the lives of those he helped. His empathetic nature and commitment to his work left an indelible impact on all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to celebrate David’s life at a service on August 12, 2025, at 10:20 a.m. The service will be held at Glengarry Funeral Home, located at 520 Main St. David’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and through the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of David's generous spirit and his lifelong dedication to helping others. David Kaufman's life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and kindness. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing him.
