David john William Anderson
November 15, 1983 — July 23, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of David John William Anderson, lovingly known as "Petey," who left us on July 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on November 15, 1983, in Indianapolis, Indiana, David's journey through life was marked by his unwavering love for family, his passion for living, and his resilience in the face of adversity.
David was the cherished son of David Lee Anderson and the late Annette Denise Anderson, from whom he inherited a strength of spirit and a deep love for family. He was predeceased by his beloved mother Annette, his grandmother Gladys Mims, and his brother Samuel Whalley, all of whom undoubtedly welcomed him home with open arms.
In life, David was a devoted husband to Panchita Anderson, whom he married on August 9, 2014. Their union, marked by love and shared dreams, flourished over twelve beautiful years, creating a blended family blessed with four wonderful children: Taytanna, Daviona, Davi'ah, and Jeremiah, all of Indianapolis. David's love for his children was boundless, and he took immense pride in his role as a father.
David was a proud graduate of Pike High School and a faithful member of Greater Prince of Peace Church, where his spirit of community and kindness touched many lives. He had a zest for life that was evident in his many hobbies and interests. Whether playing video games, traveling, watching basketball, or simply being surrounded by family and friends, David embraced life with enthusiasm. His curiosity led him to explore new ideas and knowledge, often through watching YouTube and conducting research.
David is survived by his loving wife Panchita and their children, as well as his father David Lee Anderson, and his sisters Comaliana and Cecelia Anderson. He also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory. David was also a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

David's mother-in-law also shares a touching tribute: "Petey was more than a son-in-law; he was family. His respect and love, even in difficult times, showed the true measure of the man he was. Thank you, Petey, for the memories, the love, and for being a wonderful father to my precious granddaughter. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts."
David's legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to live on through his children and grandchildren. While we mourn his loss, we celebrate the remarkable life he led and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him. Rest peacefully, David, knowing you are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
