David Hans Benditz, cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away September 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with complications from cancer. Born on December 11, 1958, David's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and adventure. David was the beloved son of Paul and Marilyn Benditz. He is predeceased by his father, Paul, but leaves behind a legacy carried on by his devoted family. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Bunny Coleman Benditz, their cherished son Austin Benditz, and his grandchildren, Carson and Kendal. He will also be deeply missed by his mother, Marilyn Benditz, and his siblings, Debra, Dan, Dale, and Doug. David's life was marked by a profound love for his family and a deep commitment to making the most of every moment. He married the love of his life, Bunny, in December of 1982. Together, they raised their son Austin and shared countless adventures, exploring the depths of the ocean through scuba diving, navigating rugged terrains in their Hummer, and discovering new cultures as they traveled the world. A proud graduate of Klein High School in 1977, David furthered his education by earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas in Austin. He dedicated much of his career to working alongside his father and siblings in the family business, Continental Casing. His early retirement was a decision made from the heart, allowing him to devote more time to his family and his many passions. David's generosity of spirit extended beyond his family. He volunteered numerous hours to organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, and Equi-Search. An avid hunter, David's impressive collection of trophies spanned from Africa to Boone and Crocket registered white tail deer. He found joy in off-roading, sport fishing, and travel, all the while excelling in building and creating special additions to their ranch in Junction, Texas. A celebration of David's life will be held on October 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Champions Golf Club, located at 13722 Champions Drive, Houston, Texas 77069. Family and friends are warmly invited to honor the life of a remarkable man who leaves behind a legacy of love and adventure.
