David Hall
October 11, 1955 — June 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Hall announces his peaceful passing on June 6, 2026, at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 11, 1955, in Albany, New York, David was a man of great strength, warmth, and kindness, whose life was a testament to dedication, love, and craftsmanship.
David was the beloved husband of Renee, his devoted partner for 49 years. Together, they built a life rich in love and laughter, providing a nurturing environment for their son, Dicy, and later, their cherished grandchildren, Trenton and Tiffany. David’s love for his family was unconditional and unwavering, creating a legacy of kindness and generosity that will carry on through those who were lucky enough to know him.
Born to Kenny and Evelyn Hall, David was a proud son who spent his formative years in Albany, learning the values of hard work and perseverance. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Chris Hall, and his parents-in-law, Ronald and Lila Hannah, who have all now welcomed him into their eternal embrace.
David served his country honorably in the US Army, embodying a deep sense of duty and patriotism. After his military service, he returned to his roots, working alongside his family at his father’s automotive shop, Kenny’s Automotive. His innate mechanical skills and passion for fixing things with his hands led him to a fulfilling 20-year career with the City of New Smyrna Beach, where he was respected and admired by colleagues until his retirement in 2019.
A man of many talents, David found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was out on the water fishing, tending to his garden, or crafting beautiful furniture and knives, David's hands were never idle. His creations were not just items; they were pieces of his heart shared with those around him.
David is survived by his loving wife Renee, his son Dicy and daughter-in-law Tammy, his treasured grandchildren Trenton and Tiffany, and his siblings Kenny (Jenny Lu), Tammi (Paul), Lois, Dawn, and Nick. He also leaves behind a warm circle of in-laws, including Craig (Ann) Hannah, Todd Hannah, and Rhonda (John) Maloughney, who were as much his family as those by blood.
In honoring David's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life. The family extends their sincerest gratitude to Halifax Hospice Care for their compassionate and devoted care during David's final days.
David Hall’s legacy of love, craftsmanship, and service lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. While he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will forever guide us, reminding us to cherish each moment and to create beauty in the world around us.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in David's memory to a charity of your choice, as a way to continue the kindness and generosity he showed throughout his life.
Rest in peace, David, knowing that you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
