Born on December 21, 1931, in the vibrant city of Guadalajara, Mexico, David was the beloved son of Jose-Fernando and Yolanda Gutierrez Ortiz. From his parents, he inherited a rich tapestry of traditions and values that he carried with him throughout his life. David was predeceased by his parents and his son, Fernando, yet their memories lived on in the stories he lovingly shared with those around him. David's life was a testament to the power of family and the bonds of love. He shared a beautiful and enduring marriage with his beloved wife, Catalina, with whom he celebrated a remarkable journey of love and companionship. Together, they were blessed with ten children, and David took immense pride in being a devoted father. His love and guidance cultivated a family that grew to include 40 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren, each of whom inherited a piece of his heart and humor. David possessed a natural gift for making everyone feel welcomed and cherished. His home was a sanctuary of laughter and warmth, where the aroma of a lovingly prepared meal would greet visitors at the door. Known for his sense of humor, David had an uncanny ability to bring smiles and laughter to all who knew him, effortlessly lightening the burdens of those around him. Throughout his life, David cherished the simple joys of gathering with loved ones, sharing stories, and creating cherished memories. His generosity of spirit and open-hearted nature were the cornerstones of his character, and his home was a haven where love was always abundant.
