David Frank Pellegrino

It is with heavy hearts and deep respect that we announce the passing of David Frank Pellegrino, a devoted family man, U.S. Marine veteran, and beloved community member. David passed away on July 27, 2026, after a valiant struggle to recover from a massive right hemisphere mid-cranial stroke. His life began on September 18, 1948, in Renton, Washington, where he was born to Frank and Violet Pellegrino. David's life was a testament to service, dedication, and warmth. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1973, a period that shaped his character and instilled in him a lifelong sense of duty and camaraderie. After his military service, David embarked on a successful career, beginning as a Produce Manager for Associated Grocers and later making significant contributions in the beverage industry with companies like Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola, and others. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to become a quarter partner in a California winery, a venture that brought him joy. Education was important to David, and he graduated from Renton High School before attending Central Washington University for a year. Throughout his life, he was an active member of various organizations, including St. Anthony's Church, the Wildlife Round Table, Renton Fish & Game Club, the NRA, and the Eagles, among others. David was known for his quick wit and warm smile, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. A passionate hunter, fisherman, well into his40's, as well as an avid Shooter Pistol, Rifle, & Shotgun throughout his lifetime. David cherished these activities most when shared with family and friends. Above all, family was paramount, and also, he found great joy in cooking. David's legacy is carried forward by his cherished son, Paul, and his beloved grandchildren, Madison and Robert. He is reunited in peace with his parents, Frank and Violet, and his first wife, Margaret Pellegrino. His life was marked by three marriages, to Margaret, PJ, and Tami, each contributing to the tapestry of his life. A celebration of David's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, located at 350 Moris Ave NE., Renton Washington. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery for their compassion and to the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard for their honorable service. David Frank Pellegrino will be remembered for his steadfast love of family, his commitment to service, and his ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
