David F. Waldron

David F. Waldron, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on September 5, 2026, in the comforting presence of his loving wife, Kathleen. His departure came after a brief yet valiant battle with cancer, a journey marked by unwavering courage and grace. Born in the vibrant town of Missoula, Montana on May 26, 1949, 6 ,minutes after his twin brother. David was the cherished son of John and Betty Waldron. Blessed with a joyful childhood alongside his twin brother Dennis and older brother Bob, David carried the values instilled by his parents throughout his life. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Bob, David is remembered fondly by all who knew him. David was a proud graduate of Helena High School, class of 1968, and furthered his education at the University of Montana, earning a degree in Forestry in 1976. While attending the UofM he worked as a seasonal ranger in Glacier National Park. His education was briefly interrupted by a noble commitment to serve his country. From 1968 to 1972, David served in the U.S. Marine Corps, with tours in Vietnam, Okinawa, and California, where he exemplified bravery and dedication. David embarked on a career with the State of Montana, where he retired with distinction after serving as an investigator in two different agencies. His work was characterized by diligence and integrity, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and peers alike. He also worked as IT coordinator at the mental health center, was an elected Apache Junction City Council member for many years, chairman of Apache Junction CDC, Veterans Day Parade chairman for many years. He was a member of Mountain View Lutheran church, and past president of MVLC. Member of Marine Corps League, VFW, American Legion. David's life was enriched by his marriage to Kathleen, a partnership filled with love, laughter, and mutual support. David had two sons Shelby and Trever. He had two step-sons Ed and Steven DeVries. He had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren Known for his unparalleled sense of humor and quick wit, David's laughter was infectious, and his presence could light up any room. His love for a good joke and his ability to find joy in the everyday moments left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate team at Noble Hospice for their guidance and support during David's final days. Their care allowed Kathleen to navigate this difficult time with strength and love. David F. Waldron will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
