David was a proud alumnus of Lawton High School, where he forged lifelong friendships and developed a love for community and camaraderie. He carried these values into his career, working diligently as a laborer. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he was admired by colleagues and friends alike for his integrity and dedication. A man of simple pleasures, David found immense joy in watching NASCAR races. The roar of the engines and the thrill of the race captured his spirit, offering him moments of pure delight. His enthusiasm for the sport was infectious, and he loved sharing this passion with those around him. David was preceded in death by his beloved father, David Earl Newsom, and his cherished grandparents, Garland and Shirley Newsom and Charles and Helene Fitzgerald. He leaves behind a family who adored him deeply: his beloved daughter, Alexis Sokolik, his devoted sister, Mary Beville, his loving mother, Kathleen Wynn, and many nieces and nephews. Though he did not have grandchildren, his legacy and love will continue through the lives he touched.
