David Dupont

November 13, 1964 — May 18, 2026

David Dupont, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 18, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on November 13, 1964, in Norwich, Connecticut, David lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family and community. David was the beloved son of the late Noel Dupont, his wife Pauline, and Lorraine Fennessy. He shared a special bond with his brother Richard, who predeceased him, and whose memory David cherished deeply throughout his life. A proud graduate of Griswold High School in Connecticut, David pursued his passion for justice and service by earning an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. This educational foundation led him to an esteemed career with the Manchester, New Hampshire Police Department, where he dedicated 24 years of his life to protecting and serving his community before retiring in 2017. Before embarking on his career in law enforcement, David served his country with honor and courage as a Marine Corps infantryman from 1983 to 1987. His time in the Marine Corps was a testament to his unwavering commitment to duty and his profound sense of responsibility, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life. David was an active member of The Villages Softball League in Florida, where he spent many joyful afternoons playing the sport he loved. His passion for baseball extended beyond the field, as he was an ardent supporter of the Boston Red Sox. His loyalty to the Patriots was equally strong, and he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. Although David's life was filled with many accomplishments, he found his greatest joy in simple pleasures: spending time with friends, sharing stories, and enjoying the camaraderie of those he held dear. His kindness and generosity were evident in his unwavering support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization he held close to his heart. As we remember David, we celebrate a life lived with integrity, warmth, and an unwavering sense of duty to others. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, David's family kindly requests that donations be made in his honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, ensuring that his spirit of giving lives on. David's memory will forever be cherished by his friends, family, and all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace, reunited with those he loved and lost, in eternal serenity.
