May 30, 1982 — May 20, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David Andrew Enyeart, who left this world on May 20, 2026, just days shy of his 44th birthday. David was born on May 30, 1982, in Portland, Oregon, to Joan E. Knapp and DeWayne L. Enyeart. A beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, David's life was a testament to love, kindness, and humor. David's educational journey began at Olympia High School, from which he graduated in 2000. He pursued his passion for the culinary arts at South Puget Sound Community College, where he earned an Associate Degree. Later, he completed a BS in Accounting from Washington State University in 2024, showcasing his diverse talents and love for learning. Cooking and BBQ were among David's greatest joys, allowing him to share his love for food with those around him. A voracious reader and an avid follower of global news, David possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of books, movies, and comics. His legendary sense of humor often brought smiles to those around him, making him a cherished "movie nerd in arms" for many. David was a protector from a young age, standing up against bullying and defending the marginalized. His strong moral convictions were matched by his kindness to animals, earning him the adoration of every "fur baby" he met. He was the fun uncle to Cameron, Amelia, and Lily, and shared many joyful moments with them. Though he has left us too soon, David's spirit lives on through his surviving family: his sister Elizabeth "Liz" Christensen and her husband Chris, his nephew and nieces, and his extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. A service celebrating David's life will be held on June 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at The United Churches of Olympia, located at 110 11th Ave. SE, Olympia, WA. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at https://www.theunitedchurches.org/. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in David's name, continuing his legacy of kindness and compassion. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported them during this difficult time. David's warmth and humor will be missed but will remain forever in our hearts. May David Andrew Enyeart rest in peace, surrounded by the love he gave so freely.
