It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Daryl Hicks, who left this world on May 15, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on August 24, 1975, in the bustling city of New York, Daryl brought light and love into the lives of all who knew him. Daryl was the cherished son of Pearl Toney and the late Daryl Hicks Sr., who instilled in him the values of kindness, integrity, and perseverance. These qualities would become the essence of Daryl's character, as he navigated life with a gentle spirit and a heart full of compassion. He grew up surrounded by family, including his brothers, Trevor Toney and Wyatt Worthy, who were not just his siblings but his lifelong companions and confidantes. In 1993, Daryl graduated from Valley High School, where he cultivated friendships that lasted a lifetime. Following his graduation, Daryl answered the call of duty and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. His time in the service was marked by dedication and honor, embodying the very best of what it means to serve one's country. Daryl found the love of his life in Devonna Jordan, his partner of 17 glorious years. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and love, raising their son, Xavier Hicks, now 15, who carries forward the legacy of his father's gentle spirit. Daryl was also a devoted father to his eldest son, Requon Wilbon, and found immense joy in being a grandfather to Uziel Wilbon, his pride and joy. Family was the cornerstone of Daryl's life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His sister-in-law, Noelle Toney, niece Reyna Toney, and nephews Trevor Toney Jr., Apollo Toney, and Ares Toney held a special place in his heart. Daryl's life was a testament to the power of love and family, and his legacy will continue to shine through them. Daryl was known by all for his easygoing nature and remarkable kindness. His gentle demeanor and genuine smile could light up any room, bringing warmth and comfort to those around him. Whether lending a helping hand or offering a listening ear, Daryl's presence was a blessing to everyone fortunate enough to know him. A celebration of Daryl's life will be held on June 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Echelon Event Center, located at 3495 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived, sharing stories and memories that highlight the beautiful impact Daryl had on us all. As we reflect on the life of Daryl Hicks, we remember a man whose heart was as big as his spirit, and whose love will endure in the hearts of those he leaves behind. In honoring his memory, let us strive to emulate his kindness and live with the same grace and compassion that defined his life. Rest in peace, dear Daryl. You will forever be loved and deeply missed.
