Darryl Brown

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Darryl Brown, who departed this world on August 21, 2026. Born on September 29, 1960, in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, New York, Darryl lived a life full of joy, music, and immense love. Darryl was the beloved son of the late Frenceile Willie Mae Brown and Ralph Kendrick. He is predeceased by his parents and his dear grandmother, Queen Esther Brown. He is survived by his devoted brother Ralph Kendrick, sister-yolanda Kendrick, and Felicia Kendrick. Darryl's legacy continues through his six children: Deborah Grumbs, Talisha Campbell, Frenceile Campbell, Shakeya Faison, Yvellsse Brown, and his 15 grandchildren. Darryl's early education at P.S. 91 and P.S. 210 laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and dedication. In the 1980s, he worked in security, and by the 2000s, he dedicated his efforts to the parks, bringing his warm spirit and dedication to each role. Darryl was known for the joy he brought to those around him, often seen walking with his speaker, sharing his love of music and dance, and always dressed fly A man loved by many, Darryl touched countless lives with his kindness and infectious smile. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those lucky enough to know him. In every encounter, Darryl left an indelible mark, reminding us all of the power of love and communit Darryl will also be missed dearly by his close family members Tina, Mike, his sister-in-law Angle, and his good brother Najee. He leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and cherished memories, forever etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
