July 14, 1989 — September 20, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Darrell Harris Sr, a beloved son, father, and brother, who left us on September 20, 2026. Born on July 14, 1989, in Indianapolis, Darrell was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of everyone he met with his warmth, humor, and boundless energy. Darrell was the cherished son of Bedellion Armstrong and Darryl Harris. He grew up surrounded by a loving family, including his siblings, sister Dinisha Harris and brothers Darryl Harris, D'Angelo Harris, and D'Vontae. His grandfather, Jack E. Armstrong, and Willie Q. Williams precede him in death, and we take solace in the belief that they are now reunited. A proud graduate of Arsenal Tech in 2009, Darrell furthered his education at Ivy Tech and Lincoln Tech. His thirst for knowledge and self-improvement was evident to all who knew him. Darrell was not only diligent in his academic pursuits but also brought his zest for life to everything he did. His passions for music and dance were well-known among friends and family. Whether it was moving to his favorite tunes or sharing his love of music with others, Darrell had an infectious enthusiasm that inspired those around him to find joy in the little moments. Darrell's greatest pride and joy was his son, Darrell Harris Jr, affectionately known as DJ. He was a dedicated and loving father who cherished every moment spent with his son. Alongside his significant other, Amber Holland, Darrell built a life full of laughter, love, and shared dreams. In honoring Darrell's memory, the family invites those who wish to offer their respects to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, reflecting the generosity and kindness that Darrell embodied throughout his life. Darrell Harris Sr will be fondly remembered for his vivacious spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and the joy he brought to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Darrell Harris Sr welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
