Darrell De'mon Foster, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts yet joyful memories that we announce the passing of Darrell De'mon Foster, Sr., a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Darrell entered eternal rest on August 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and immeasurable impact. Born on January 23, 1965, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late George and Alice Foster, Darrell was a beacon of light and strength throughout his life. He shared a cherished bond with his late brother, Timothy Foster, and his memories remain forever engraved in the hearts of his surviving siblings: Karen Foster Reece, Kim (Lamont) Clingmon, Bridgett (Jeremy) Belsky, Danielle Foster, and Ralph Parker. Darrell’s life was enriched by his love for his family. He was the proud father of four sons, Donzell Shepard, Brian Foster, Darrell Foster, Jr., and Majestic Gore, and three daughters, Brittany Foster, Delicia Foster, and Sequoya Gore. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends who cherished him deeply. Educationally, Darrell’s journey began at Old Main High School of North Little Rock, after transferring from Hazelwood Central High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He furthered his education at Philander Smith College, where he honed the skills that would serve him throughout his life. Darrell’s dedication to his country was evident in his service with the U.S. Army, where he valiantly fought in Desert Storm and achieved the rank of Lieutenant. His military commendations reflect his bravery and commitment to service. A Renaissance man at heart, Darrell excelled in various fields, from his military career to his work as a technical expert and self-employed commercial painter. His versatility and wide-ranging knowledge were admired by all who knew him. Beyond his professional achievements, Darrell was a passionate volunteer for the kidney foundation, where he contributed to a newsletter and uplifted young dialysis patients. His dedication to community service was equally matched by his love for the Dark Hollow Family, whose lives he enriched with his warmth and compassion. Darrell was a lifelong sports enthusiast, a #1 Dallas Cowboy fan, and a skilled basketball player whose high school prowess earned him the nickname "Silk." He found joy in watching movies, reading, and painting, pursuits that reflected his creative spirit. Darrell’s charismatic, God-fearing, and caring nature, combined with his strong-minded and passionate demeanor, touched countless lives. His presence will be profoundly missed, and the void he leaves is immeasurable. A service to honor Darrell's life will be held on August 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hubble Memorial Chapel, located at 1213 E Washington Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72114, USA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Darrell's memory. They also extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers at the dialysis centers and hospital in Tulsa, OK, for the compassion and care provided to Darrell. May his soul rest in peace and his spirit continue to inspire all who knew him.
